Here’s the Details of Rolling out Gemini in the Gmail Side Panel:
- Release Domains: Full rollout started June 24th, with visibility within 1-3 days.
- Scheduled Release Domains: Gradual rollout starting July 8th, with visibility within 15 days.
- Keep in mind: Accessing Gemini features requires a specific Google Workspace subscription including:
- Gemini Business and Enterprise add-on
- Gemini Education and Education Premium add-ons
- Google One AI Premium
To utilize Gemini, you’ll need a qualifying Google Workspace subscription that includes the Gemini add-on or Google One AI Premium.
If you have an eligible Workspace subscription and your domain is within the rollout period, you should see either an “Ask Gemini” button or a “summarize this email” option, depending on whether you’re using the web app or the mobile app.
